MTV Youth Hampton is a local youth charity run by the community for the community. It was set up in 2011 following serious concerns among residents about a lack of activities and opportunities for young people living in Hampton, particularly Hampton South. Last year we worked with over 200 young people, providing a safe space where they could hang out, make friends, try new things, and have fun. Support is provided by a diverse group of well-trained, skilled leaders and peer-to-peer mentors who are positive role models to the young people.
We run a fun programme of activities to support young people's physical, mental, and emotional health & wellbeing and help guide their development. MTV Juniors is for those in school years 3-6 and MTV Youth is for those in school years 7-11.
In addition to our Monday and Friday youth clubs we also run a leadership programme (Junior Council, Junior Leaders, Young Leaders) for those aged 10 to 18 years old, a Mentoring programme for those aged 7 to 18+, and a range of weekly, age-specific Small Group Sessions such as Boxing, Fitness, Multisport, Ignite the Light etc.

We are passionate about engaging, equipping and empowering young people so they can fulfil their potential. We want to see transformation in their own lives as well as in those around them. By bringing together the youth, their families, volunteers and local organisations we believe we can build a better community in Hampton.
Our main objectives are to:
Provide a safe space for young people to hangout, make friends, learn new skills and have fun
Support and improve their physical, mental, and emotional development and wellbeing
Improve their employability and access to opportunities
Develop their leadership skills, encouraging them to make a positive difference to the lives of others
Reduce anti social behaviour and improve community cohesion, particularly in Hampton
